Tony Bancroft was an animator in the Iago unit on Aladdin. He worked closely with Sup. Animator of Iago, Will Finn. He was given this series of scenes of Iago getting stuck in the doorway to Jafar’s secret lair. Bancroft’s first pass of animation is rough. This frame is from the “Jafar is questioned by Jasmine” sequence. In this sequence, this drawing is from the scene where Iago is straining against and frees himself from the shutting door. Rough animation drawings from this feature are very rare.
